Lieve Papa,

Mama said you can't wait to see us. Mama told me we are going to see Papa, Opa & Oma very soon. I can say 'We go to Helan by plane to look for Papa. (The Netherlands is called Helan-translated from Holland). I really look forward to be in the plane again. I can watch my favourite cartoons there.

Naar het park

Lieve Papa,

Van ochtend na het ontbij, bracht mama me naar het park. Het was leuk!

And this is how I make friends.

I saw this baby in the playground and walked close to her. Her elder sister immediately came close to me to 'protect' the baby. She kissed the baby. Then I copied what she did too.





After that I tried to pull the hand of the baby and I said: Come, come. But Mama smiled and told me the baby is too young too walk.

de laatste dag van Chinees nieuwjaar

Lieva Papa,

Op de 15de dag van de Chinese nieuwe jaar is de laatste dag van de viering. Dat avond gingen we naar een tempel. Er was groot feest en perfomance.

I especially wanted to see lion dance. There were also kung fu, pop songs and drummings. The show was very interesting, Mama said. Almost like a movie scene of Jia Zhang Ke's movie. Full of local flavours! Mama said Papa would love to see it too.

Ik heb een heel mooie dingen gekregen van Auntie Yau Ngor. (one of the auntie from Mama). Weet je wat het is? Het is een leeuw! Ik moet jullie laten zien. Kijk! Mooi, huh?




I have watched so many lion dance on TV or live, I learnt it secretly by watching. I want to show Papa how good I am.







and I ask everyone to clap their hands. (Papa ook! )





The lion is resting. Mama asked me to take a picture with the lion.



I really want to bring it with me to Rotterdam, but Mama said it is too big. It doesn't fit in the luggage. I thought it will be very nice if I can play the lion dance together with Papa, Oma & Opa!

Morgen gaat Mama naar KL samen met Lee & Fu. Ik blij thuis met Poh Poh & Gong Gong. Recently I am crazy with lion dance, whenever I see a photo of the lion dance on newspaper or on TV, I will jump and yell: wushi! wushi! (Lion dance in Chinese) Sometimes I ask Mama to drum for me and I do the lion dance on the floor.

Terug naar Ipoh

Vanmiddag zijn wij terug naar Ipoh. Penang was heel leuk! Ik heb zoveel te vertelen. Misschien ga ik je morgen bellen?

Lieve Papa, Oma & Opa,

Sinds mijn neef & nicht terug naar Singapore, ben ik gehect weer aan Mama. Als zij naar boven gaat, ga ik kijken waat zij doet. Als zij een boek of een krant gaat lezen, zeg ik NEEEEE. Dan speelt Mama met me. I like to be chased after by Mama. I asked her to make different animal sound. Ik lach en lach!

Vandaag gaan we naar Penang. Ik verheug me op de reis. Mama zegt dat ik daar kan zwemmen en lekker spelen!

More friends...

Lieve Papa,

As usual, Mama is always delighted to see how social and outgoing I am. I liked these two little friends the most. I was gentle and sweet. We dance and run together. And before they left, I hugged them to say goodbye.

Lieve Papa,

Mama has a few visitors in the last few days. They all brought their children along. I want to tell you about this boy. He is 3 months older than me but I am much bigger than him in terms of size. I kept on challenging him by pushing and punching him (lightly). Everytime I go near him or touch him, he screamed. I find it very very funny. What a nice game!

But in the eyes of other adults, I was told that I was acting too harsh on him. But I know Mama didn't see it that way. I saw her smiling at me. Mama knew how I wish the boy will play 'pushing & pulling' with me or come chase after me. But it wasn't allowed, it is called 'fighting', fighting is no good, I was told.

Mijn neef en nicht

Lieve Papa,

Mijn neef en nicht zijn al terug naar Singapore. Ik dacht dat ze weer terug komen. Maar Mama zegt dat ik nog een jaar moet wachten. Ik mis ze.

Jaar van de draak

Weet je dat 2012 het jaar van de draak is? Poh Poh heeft een T-shirt voor me & Kei Kei gekocht. Maar ik dacht dat die een leeuw is. (die ik zie in leeuwendans!)

Nieuwjaar

Lieve Papa,

Today is the first new year day. Everyone put on new clothing on the new year day. Mama bought this new t-shirt for me. Vind je het mooi? I also received many red packet money from the family.We have a family gathering at the house where Poh Poh used to grow up.




There were so many new faces there. Poh Poh has such a big family!. I only wanted to stick with Kei Kei & Hao Yuen. Last few days I was busy playing with them, from morning until I go to bed. :P

Just a quick note here. Mama hasn't got much time to go online. It was new year eve on the 22nd Jan. Poh Poh prepared a big feast for the family.





And Mama said this is Papa's favorite, the yam (taro) with pork belly.
